We all know it is true that coherence must exist between what we do and who we are for our personal lives to have meaning. This coherence, so essential in our private lives, is equally so in our professional lives. Real life does not begin after we leave the office. To fully express ourselves, we must find coherence between our base concepts and our work.

I have learned in 20 years as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of multinational groups in information technology (GSI followed by ADP), manufacturing (Oeneo) and finance (Euronext followed by LCH-Clearnet) in different cultures (groups operating in Southern Eurore, the UK and North America) and contexts (periods of growth or restructuring) that the same management principles always lead to sustainable growth.

Senior management must trust people, incentivize them to do their best work, align power with responsibility and set the example.

PAG Conseils exists to provide people management consulting support for executives who find themselves alone in a changing, complex and often disruptive world. Executive coaching

PAG Conseils coached the CFO of an IT company facing a conflict of priorities between its new chain-of-command and functional lines of reporting following  transformation to a matrix organization. The outcome: an objective, cool-headed assessment of the situation and improved co-ordination between the parties concerned.

Management consulting

PAG Conseils helped the CEO of a distribution company to delegate team leaders’ responsibility to manage and individually recognize the people reporting to them. Decentralising team management and aligning power with responsibility lead to rapid and appropriate decisions making that smoothed worker-management relationships.

Human resources policy

PAG Conseils offered consulting services the HRO of a firm in the financial sector who wanted to re-model the system of annual reviews and set up the assessment of behavior skills along with its remuneration policy. This service extends from the design of the system to preparation for employee-representative consultations and discussions.

Executive coaching

PAG Conseils accompanied the CEO of a services company through the decision making process for the sale of his company. As this process could not be shared with his closest collaborators, parterning with PAG Conseils helped him to clarify his goals, bring his project to fruition, define criteria of selection, anticipate all the consequences of the sale and develop an action plan to deal with the issues.

Management consulting

PAG Conseils worked with the executive committee of a consulting firm that had to cope with resignations and the loss of its management’s credibility. After a long process of collaboration, common rules of the game were worked out and deployed. The outcome: mutual trust was progressively re-established.

Human resources policy

PAG Conseils was tapped by the Europe HRO of a US-based company in the services sector to help the HRO of its French subsidiary to manage employee relations. The outcome: a code of conduct with labor unions was worked out and communication with the US HQ was improved.
